New York deceived us this day. Taunting us with mid fifties and one special sixty degree day, New York decided to bring us back to a cool February reality. Erin is brave. In parka and pea coat prescribed weather, Erin braved the chill as she had to part ways with her own winter shield, which she quickly put back on whenever we changed locations. She’s a wonderful spirit, especially in Central Park during its construction filled winter season. I’d never been to the park in the winter, thus I had no idea that many of the parts were closed, though I should have known. Yet, this was not a deterrent, for there are many beautiful things just around the corner, or in this case, just around the cherry-picker or the iron gate.

I was very happy to have this opportunity to photograph Erin. I just can’t help smiling when she’s around, even in the cold; and as the cold air began to chill our chattering lips we began to talk of warmer places like beaches and islands. Erin is hoping to go on a vacation at some point in the near future and she discussed some of the criteria for that location. The entire time I was listening I just wanted to give her a good book, a Snuggie, and make her some good ole’ Texas chili. She definitely deserves it.
